Chad Danswan LLB(Hons). BProp. AREINZ

chadChad is a Director of Cambridge Law.

Chad graduated from the University of Auckland with a conjoint degree in Law (with honours) and Property, and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2005. In 2002, during his studies, Chad was successfully placed in an internship (one of four from the University of Auckland) with a large New Zealand law firm.  Chad remained with that firm until 2007.

During 2007 – 2010, Chad was engaged to set up a number of commercial businesses in New Zealand. It was this process that has allowed Chad to obtain the commercial acumen to be able to provide his clients with practical and robust legal advice. During that period, Chad also became (and remains) an Associate of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (hence the letters AREINZ behind his name) and an affiliate of the Arbitrator’s and Mediator’s Institute of New Zealand.

After the completion of the commercial business set ups, Chad returned to legal practice, along with lecturing the Property Law course at the University of Auckland.

Chad puts his success down to simply having the right attitude, and believes physical exercise is key. He thoroughly enjoys swimming, running, and is an avid cyclist who takes on the 160km Lake Taupo race every year.
